Motor Brake for DT90/DV100 Motors, 20 Nm
Sew motor brakes operate using a two-coil system. The pressure plate is forced against the brake disc by the brake springs when the electromagnet is deenergised, which slows down the motor. When the brake coil is connected to a DC supply the spring force is overcome by a magnetic force which draws the pressure plate into contact with the brake coil body, allowing the rotor to turn.
The short response time of the SEW brake system ensures a faster start-up time with minimal start-up heating, reducing energy consumption and brake wear and improving process times.
